Here is a fun and meaningless way to evaluate our teams: based on our auction-drafted rosters, which "picks" would those players have been in a snake draft? I decided to go through the first five rounds of this imaginary snake draft and see where we all picked. To do this, I used ESPN's list of top players (we could easily use any other magazine's rankings). You don't have to tell me: there is a very sketchy transfer between a snake and an auction draft (manager strategies and player values change), and this is a very imperfect way to evaluate teams (position strengths and position weaknesses aren't accounted for). However, it is interesting anyway. We can look at this and see which teams went very top-heavy and which teams went very balanced and deep (perhaps we'll find which strategy is the better). You can look at this and say, basically, that Jon traded his entire draft in order to pick #1, #4, and #12, or that Tony traded down to end up with two 2nd rounders, two 3rd rounders, two 4th rounders, and two 5th rounders.
So here it is, all for laughs. Your comments are welcome.
