Last year going into Monday's games either Joe or I would send out an email stating what each team must do to finish as high as they can..now this will be in post form usually done during the day on Monday. This week it will just have high/low with no information on what they must do since there are so many players, etc. I will also include a predicted place of finish just for fun (as objectively as possible).
1. Joe 73.84 (High: 1st/Low: 8th) Predicted finish:2nd
2. Kiah 64.48 (High: 1st/Low: 8th) Predicted finish:1st
3. Justin 63.90 (High: 1st/Low: 8th) Predicted finsih: 3rd
4. Brad 60.90 (High: 1st/Low: 8th) Predicted finish: 4th
5. Rob 54.06 (High: 1st/Low: 8th) Predicted finish: 7th
6. Abe 47.46 (High: 6th/Low: 9th) Predicted finish: 8th
7. Jerod 47.12 (High: 1st/Low: 9th) Predicted finish: 6th
8. Jon 42.82 (High: 1st/Low: 9th) Predicted finish: 5th
9. Bryan 23.76 (High: 1st/Low: 9th) Predicted finish: 9th
In the coming weeks this will be a far more informative post since we wont have to account for 12 fantasy players usually. That is right tonight there are 12 fantasy players effecting 8 teams in our league: Joe-2 (Heap and Cincy K), Kiah-2 (Palmer and James), Justin-2 (Fitzgerald and Baltimore D), Brad-1 (McGahee), Rob-1 (Ma.Clayton), Jerod-1 (Chad Johnson), Jon-2 (Gore and Boldin), Bryan-1 (D.Jackson).

I had thought of doing a "what has to happen" post, but the fact that 8 out of 9 of us don't have final scores meant such an exercise would have clearly driven me insane.
ReplyDeleteI'm predicting a 2 or 3 finish for me this week. I think that Cincy kicker is going to do more damage for Joe than I care to acknowledge. I'd feel more confident that I would finish higher if I truly believed playing Edge is the right move.

300 yards receiving and 5 TDs from Jackson tonight. It's going to be a long season.
ReplyDeleteEven that performance would not get you into 1st place since that would only be 42 pts.....
ReplyDeleteMusa Smith is Willis McGahee's cockblock!
ReplyDeleteI was going for pride
ReplyDeleteBH
Don't worry. Pride is only going to be a mirage for you this year.
ReplyDeleteI blame Bryan for all my problems. Plaxico Burress could have been a non-factor to me, helping him score in the 40s instead of the 20s. Instead he's allowed Kiah to pass me this week. To paraphrase the great Coach Bud Kilmer, son, you're fucking up my universe.
ReplyDeleteEven the numbers on the Game Center are boring; how dull is watching this Arizona-San Francisco game?
ReplyDeleteWhat am I complaining about? I just attending a game that featured one offensive TD in which neither team reached the end zone, and it was the most fun I'd had in months.
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better Joe, Plaxico Burress isn't going to be much of a factor for me for a few weeks either. Get in the game, Ellie! All your brother's commercials can't save your damn shoulder?!? Come on!
ReplyDeleteNo, Tom Coughlin seems like a wacky, fun-loving guy. I expect some silly end-arounds, even Plaxico lining up in shotgun to take direct snaps. All the crazy shenanigans you'd expect from a let-it-all-hang-out fellow like Coughlin.
ReplyDeleteOf course Joe you could look at it also if I hadn't traded Plaxico to Bryan I would be far ahead of you because he would be starting for me alongside Torry Holt.
ReplyDeleteI already thought of that. I came to peace with that. That and I are in kinship.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I had bid a few more dollars on Plaxico he would have started for me next to Chad Johnson. And if I would have bid more on Tomlinson I'd have him and not LJ. And if I had bid more on Baltimore D I could have had their points, too. And if we changed our rules I could have started both Mannings and had all of their points. Have you all come to peace with that?
ReplyDeleteI haven't.
I have come to peace with the fact that 1. My team is a farce 2. Pride is not an option. 3. Not since Herschel Walker has trading been so one-sidedly positive. 4. The Brian Lenord dream is dead.
